The mission of Discover Smith Mountain Lake magazine and photographic perspective, is to inspire, inform, speak to, and present the lake in a way no other magazines can. We also pride ourselves on not using any stock photography. Our cover shots are unique to us and we choose only those shots that keep in line with the quality and style of the magazine.

We don't need to be flashy. Just clean, beautiful and elegant. That is our style and we hope you feel refreshed when you look at it. Many publications are only focussed on how many advertisers they can squeeze on one page. Not us. We put this magazine together because we love doing it. The advertisers are necessary so that we can get it into your hands.
